What we collect when you use omprasadamglobal.com or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, who sees it and how long we keep it.
Who we are
This website is run by Om Prasadam, a rice, pulses and spices exporter registered at 187A Mohan Niwas, Marris Road, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh 202001, India. Om Prasadam decides how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us about anything in this policy at export@omprasadamglobal.com or on +91 98186 10679.
What we collect
What you tell us
- Request a quote form: your name, email, phone number, the product type, product and quantity you need, and anything you add under “Add details” — company, buyer type, Incoterm, discharge port, packing, delivery city and notes.
- Quick query: your name, phone number, email and your question.
- Emails, calls and WhatsApp messages you send us, and what you tell us while we prepare a quote or an order.
What the site records when you use it
- With an enquiry: the page you sent it from, the page you first arrived on, the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), your browser type, and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
- Clicks on our WhatsApp, phone and email links: which link, on which page and when. These records carry no name or contact details.
- Product ratings: the star rating you give. To allow one rating per person per product, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from the product, your IP address and a secret value, and delete it after 30 days.
- Analytics, described under Cookies and analytics.
We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal data on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a price, sample or specification.
- To follow up on that enquiry and, if you order, to agree terms, arrange shipping and documents, and keep business records.
- To understand which pages and products buyers look at, so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site and its forms working and free of spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not add you to a marketing mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
Our legal basis
For visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area: we use enquiry details to take steps you asked for before a possible contract, and to keep the records an order requires. We rely on our legitimate interests to follow up on enquiries, run analytics and protect the site. Where the law requires your consent — for example for some analytics cookies — we rely on that consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. For visitors in India, we process your data for the purpose you gave it to us, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
When you send the quote form or a quick query, your browser opens WhatsApp with your details already written into a message to our sales desk. Nothing is sent through WhatsApp until you press send there. Once you do, WhatsApp (operated by Meta) handles the message under its own terms and privacy policy. At the same moment, the details are saved to our enquiry records so your enquiry is not lost if the chat is.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Tag Manager to load two analytics tools. Neither receives your name, email, phone number or message: the only enquiry details we send them are the product, packing, Incoterm and a quantity figure.
- Google Analytics 4 counts pages viewed and actions such as clicking “Request a quote”, starting a form or sending an enquiry.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and movement — as heatmaps and session replays. Clarity masks text typed into form fields by default.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who run parts of the site for us: our hosting provider, Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Microsoft (Clarity) and Meta (WhatsApp). They act on our instructions or under their own terms, as described above.
- Shipping and trade partners — freight forwarders, inspection agencies, laboratories, banks and customs brokers — only when you place an order and only what that order needs.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
Where your data is kept
We are based in India and keep enquiry records there. Our analytics and messaging providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards. If you contact us from the UK or the EEA, your details are transferred to India so we can reply.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to three years after our last contact, so we can see what you asked for if you come back.
- Enquiries that become orders: for as long as Indian tax, company and export rules require us to keep business records.
- Rating codes: 30 days. The star rating itself is kept, with nothing that identifies you.
- Analytics data: for the retention period set in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. To do any of this, email export@omprasadamglobal.com with “Privacy” in the subject. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm who you are first.
If you are in India, you can also raise a grievance with us at the same address, and then with the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA, to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry records are kept in a database that is not reachable from the public website: there is no page or address that lists them, and only our sales team can read them.
Children
This site is for businesses and adult buyers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
