Can you export mango from India to Canada?
Yes. Om Prasadam exports mango (aam) from India to Canada from its own processing facility. Each lot is graded, cleaned and tested before loading, then flown from Mumbai or Delhi to Toronto Pearson and Vancouver in 1–2 days; air freight by pallet. Consignments are documented for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, with Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, CFIA import conditions and Bilingual labelling prepared before dispatch. South Asian communities in Toronto and Vancouver drive Canadian demand for Alphonso and Kesar, flown in through the season.

Documents for importing mango into Canada
Canada regulates imported food through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations. These are the documents and checks prepared for mango consignments, as each one requires:
- Safe Food for Canadians Regulations. Your SFC licence and preventive control plan need supplier evidence; we provide traceability, lot analysis and process records to support it.
- CFIA import conditions. Plant products are shipped to the conditions listed for them in CFIA’s Automated Import Reference System (AIRS), checked before each order.
- Bilingual labelling. Retail packs are printed in English and French with net quantity, origin, dates, a nutrition facts table where required and the Canadian importer’s details.
- Export documentation. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading or air waybill, and a phytosanitary certificate where needed.
- Phytosanitary certificate. Issued by India’s National Plant Protection Organisation after inspection, certifying the consignment free of quarantine pests.
- Cold-chain record. Produce is pre-cooled at the packhouse and shipped with a temperature log covering the packhouse, the truck and the aircraft or reefer.
- Mango import conditions. Shipped to the CFIA import conditions for Indian mangoes listed in AIRS, with a phytosanitary certificate on every consignment.
